City & Culture

Agadir City Tour

Agadir is Morocco's most visited beach city, and this city tour gives you the full picture in one morning or afternoon. Your guide picks you up at your hotel and leads you through the city's most rewarding stops. Start at the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella, perched on a hilltop 236 metres above sea level, where panoramic views stretch across the bay, the beach, and the mountains beyond. The original Kasbah was destroyed in the 1960 earthquake; what remains is a moving monument and one of the best viewpoints in southern Morocco. From there, explore the Marina d'Agadir — a modern waterfront lined with restaurants, boutiques, and bobbing sailboats, perfect for a short stroll. Continue to Souk El Had, the city's largest traditional market where locals shop for spices, argan products, leather goods, and fresh produce. Note: the souk is closed on Mondays. The tour ends at La Médina d'Agadir (Coco Polizzi), an artisan village hand-built by Italian sculptor Coco Polizzi using stones salvaged from the 1960 earthquake ruins. Its narrow alleys, mosaic walls, and craft workshops make it one of Agadir's most distinctive cultural stops. All transport is by air-conditioned vehicle, and the guide speaks English and French. The tour is available daily except Mondays (souk substitute visit provided on Mondays).
