Agadir Cable Car Experience

The Agadir cable car (téléphérique) is one of the city's most rewarding experiences — a smooth gondola ride that lifts you above the rooftops and delivers one of the finest aerial views on Morocco's Atlantic coast. From the lower station near the seafront, the gondola ascends the hillside and deposits you at a terrace overlooking the sweeping Agadir Bay, the famous 9-kilometre beach, and the patchwork of the city below. On a clear day — which in Agadir is most days — the views extend to the snowcapped peaks of the Anti-Atlas mountains. The experience is fully flexible: there is no fixed departure time, so you can go at your own pace and linger at the top as long as you wish. The cable car runs from morning until evening, making it a great choice whether you prefer the soft morning light or the golden glow of sunset. The upper station has a terrace café where you can enjoy mint tea or a snack with the view, and the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella is a short walk away for those who want to extend the visit. The whole circuit — down, up, and back — typically takes 1 to 2 hours at a relaxed pace, but you are free to stay longer.
